Fellowship Grantee Journalists Publish Powerful Stories Advocating for Vulnerable Communities

Kopila Nepal and International Alert celebrate inspiring stories that challenge norms, spark

Kopila Nepal, in partnership with International Alert, is proud to share the inspiring achievements of our fellowship grantee journalists. Through our Fellowship Program, these emerging storytellers received intensive training, mentorship, and the opportunity to put their skills into action producing stories that give voice to those too often left unheard.

Recently, several of our fellows had their powerful articles published in national and online media. Their work shines a light on critical issues such as gender-based violence, the rights of persons with disabilities, and the life-changing impact of women’s economic empowerment. These stories are more than news they are calls to action, encouraging dialogue, challenging norms, and advocating for a more just and inclusive society.

At Kopila Nepal, we believe that when we equip dedicated individuals with the right tools and opportunities, their voices can inspire meaningful change. The courage and commitment shown by our fellowship grantees in telling these stories is a testament to that belief.
